1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ShowHive (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

2. Account & Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You may only maintain one account per person.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

3. Free Trial & Subscription

ShowHive offers a 7-day free trial for new users. No payment information is required to start the trial. After the trial period, access to premium features requires an active subscription.

• Subscription plans are available at $5.99/month or $49.99/year.
• Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Profile page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access until then.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support for assistance.

4. Bank Connection (Plaid)

ShowHive offers an optional feature to connect your bank account through Plaid, Inc. for automatic subscription detection. By using this feature:

• You authorize Plaid to access your transaction data on your behalf for the sole purpose of identifying streaming subscription charges.
• You may disconnect your bank at any time from your Profile page, which immediately revokes access and deletes detected subscription data.
• This feature is available only to users with an active paid subscription (not during the free trial).

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without permission.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to it.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit any part of the Service without written consent.

6. Third-Party Services

ShowHive displays streaming availability and pricing information sourced from third-party data providers. We link to third-party streaming services but do not control their content, pricing, or availability. We are not responsible for any changes to third-party service offerings, and the accuracy of availability data may vary.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Streaming availability and pricing data comes from external APIs and may not always be accurate or up to date. ShowHive does not guarantee that any particular title will be available on any particular service at any given time or price.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShowHive and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to ShowHive in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
